下一步解决了我的问题：

查看并删除过多的旧仓库。使用 帮助 > 安装新软件 > 可用软件站点 并取消选择所有较旧 Eclipse 版本的更新站点。我有两个Spring仓库，分别针对4.3和4.4版本。
清除 <eclipse文件夹>/p2/org.eclipse.equinox.p2.repository/cache 目录。
再次检查更新。
