客户端运行时会创建10个客户端连接到服务器。经过多次运行和监测,我发现Java IO和NIO没有什么区别。
如果将客户端数量改为500,则发现Java IO确实创建了500个线程,但数据消耗非常快。相比之下,Java NIO应用程序的线程要少得多,但数据消耗慢,完成所有工作需要更长的时间。
那么,Java NIO真正的好处是什么呢?它可以创建较少的线程以节省内存,但性能较慢。
或者,我可能做错了什么。

你注意到的速度差异是因为两个测试案例中都出现了4秒的休眠。
在非NIO情况下,每个请求只有一个线程,休眠4秒只会阻塞该请求。但是,在NIO情况下,工作线程数量要少得多,它会阻塞该请求以及等待在该线程上运行的其他请求。
所以这引出了一个问题,为什么我们想要使用更少的线程来处理NIO?答案是可扩展性。现代操作系统与网络IO相关的线程阻塞问题。有关更多详细信息,请参见C10K问题。
总的来说,我发现NIO更快,或者至少有潜力更快,如果:
1.您使用它来避免复制缓冲区 2.并且避免任何可以阻塞线程的东西。例如不要在数据库获取等方面阻塞。
这就是像akka这样的异步框架闪耀的地方。
