你尝试过为测试类创建一个构造函数，调用你想要测试的Activity吗？例如：

public class ApiTest {

    public ApiTest() {
        super(MainActivity.class);
    }

    //...the rest of your test class
}

我自己还在学习如何在Android中进行单元测试和模拟，所以如果这对你不起作用，我提前道歉。
